Carolinas Staffing Solutions is Looking for an Assistant Dockmaster in Bald Head Island, NC!!

Job Summary:
This position is FT 40 hours from now through September. After September the hours will be reduced to around 24-32 hours. During the off season the hours We are seeking a reliable and customer-friendly individual to join our marina team. This position involves assisting guests, handling transactions, maintaining facilities, and supporting daily marina operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process transactions for fuel, rentals, and store items
• Complete daily sales reports and deposits accurately.
• Stock, clean, and maintain the marina store and facilities.
• Instruct boat renters on safe operation and respond to equipment issues, including towing.
• Perform basic dock and facility maintenance
• Manage marina trash collection and disposal.
• Use marine VHF radio to communicate with vessels following Coast Guard protocols.
• Handle phone calls, messages, and guest reservations
• Assist with fishing equipment rentals and advise guests on safety and local fishing tips.
• Assist guests with docking, fueling, and orienting them to the marina and Bald Head Island.
• Order supplies, manage vending machines, and help maintain the bathhouse, dock office, and laundry areas.
• Apply parking decals and enforce marina cart parking rules.
• Serve as lead in absence of Marina Manager or Dockmaster.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.
• Must hold a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Must pass background check, credit check

During the interview process, and upon employment, both the Parking Fees and Fairey Fees will be covered by the company.

 

Hours: The hourly schedule is 9am to 5pm with weekend availability. 40 hours a week during peak-season and Part Time 24-32 hours during off-season

Pay: $14.00
