Job Description

Gpac is currently partnering with a truck dealer who both works on and sells semi-trucks. This company provides a full-service shop performing work ranging from alignments, to body work, mechanic work, frame work, etc. Right now, they are in need of an experienced T railer Technician .

Trailer Technician Responsibilities:

Performs basic diagnostics and both major and minor repairs
Performs air and electrical system repairs
Diagnose and provide recommendations on repairs
Efficient worker able to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion.
Maintains a clean work area and accurately records work progress and hours of all work performed.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Use all required Safety Equipment.
Perform Inspections on Trucks per Instruction and determine if additional safety or service work is needed.
Must have own tools.
Perform work efficiently and accurately.
Communicate with Parts Department for needed parts.
Document work performed daily via labor tickets.

Trailer Technician Qualifications:

3-5 years mechanical background in heavy-duty trucking industry or similar
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment
Proficient knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift at least 100 lbs.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Cummins or Navistar Certifications are preferred.
Welding and Fabrication Experience Highly Preferred.
