Job Description

Job Summary: The Director of Security oversees the safety and security of the physical environment and all peoples associated with the Hospital, including deterring crime against personnel on hospital property, protecting the hospital and its grounds against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and regulating the traffic and parking. The incumbent also manages the LaVan and Employee Shuttle. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Specifications: BA/BS degree in a law enforcement related program, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, equal to the completion of (4) years of college. Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in security/law enforcement/military, or healthcare experience preferred. Must have demonstrated leadership abilities. Valid Rhode Island driver's license required and schedule flexibility for 24-hour call in case of emergency. Must be proficient in English.
