Title: Millwright - 2nd Shift.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.

Employment type: Full-Time - 40+ hours/week.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm . $2 Shift Differential.
Overtime: Required to meet business demands.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA.

Summary:

Responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to machinery, heavy equipment, and all associated support equipment, at our Pittsburgh Shredder location.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform inspection, maintenance and repair to industrial production machinery or equipment in a Industrial environment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as inspecting motors, belts, drives, replacing filters, etc. and other preventative maintenance actions.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
• Install, dismantle, maintain, repair, reassemble, and move machinery.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and minor component fabrication.
• Electrical knowledge helpful, but not required.
• Use basic hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, etc.
• Torching and grinding metal.
• Rigging parts and equipment for removal and installation.
• Willing and able to work on heavy equipment when required.
• Knowledgeable on the proper inspection, removal, installation and alignment and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts and chains.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators and pumps used in these systems.
• Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good inter-personal skills.
• Able to communicate with team members as well as non-maintenance personnel. (verbal, written and telephone).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-5 years maintenance experience, preferred.
• Industrial mill, crushing, or mining, experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledgeable of the proper inspection, removal, installation, and alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, conveyors, and chains.
• Must possess welding and burning skills.
• Strong analytical skills and theoretical background in mechanical systems.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Perform assignments in a timely manner.
• Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively to team members as well as non-maintenance personnel.
• Excellent written, organization, and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Some computer skills are required.
