Key responsibilities

As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Actively welcome, greet, and check guests in with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Provide guests with knowledge about the hotel, its services, the city, and local events.
  • Ensure all guest requests are handled promptly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Differentiate between guest types and assist them accordingly (VIP guests, groups, walk-ins, etc.).
  • Follow up on all arrivals, special requests, room modifications, and reservation inquiries.
  • Address guest complaints, accidents, and incidents within a 20-minute response time, recording all matters in the hotels system.
  • Maintain clear communication with the team, updating and reviewing handover books and passing on guest feedback.
  • Ensure guest privacy and security, adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Uphold hotel policies regarding credit, payment methods, and guest accounts.
  • Encourage up-selling to maximize room rates.
  • Keep the front desk organized, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Support night audit operations when needed.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a customer-focused, professional, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong customer service skills with a guest-first mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and phone systems.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Availability to work 8-hour shifts (morning, evening, and night shifts available), including weekends and holidays.

Schedule: 8-hour shift. Weekends as needed.

Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.

Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and working on computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds or more and assist with luggage if needed.

Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
