Inst/Ast Prof - Fixed Term
The Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University () invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term faculty position at the instructor or assistant-professor rank in athletic training/sports medicine. We seek an exceptional candidate who will demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and mentoring of both undergraduate and graduate students, and actively engage in activities required to maintain CAATE accreditation of our Master’s of Athletic Training program. Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through their teaching and mentoring are highly valued. This is a 9-month appointment, with a start date of August 16, 2025.

Doctorate -Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or equivalent program
Ability to obtain athletic training licensure in the state of Michigan.
Previous experience teaching in a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program. Experience in CAATE accreditation practices and policies. Evidence of effective graduate student mentoring. Strong clinical practice experience. Evidence of initiative in cultivating an equitable and diverse scholarly and instructional environment. The Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University is one of the oldest in the United States, first established as the Department of Physical Culture in 1899.
