Job Description

**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Scrum Master to join our team in London. This role reports directly to the Technology Director and will manage 2-4 scrum or kanban teams. We need someone who can work independently, drive teams to achieve their best, and promote a culture of professionalism and honesty. The ideal candidate will be skilled at identifying and resolving issues and blockers, handling challenges in a way that improves team performance, and will be dedicated to becoming a key part of the team, ensuring everyone succeeds together. **In this role, you will:** + Manage and develop Scaled Agile portfolios of the highest complexity, ensuring alignment with industry standards and our agile delivery model. + Guide the teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint. + Optimize scrum team velocity, identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance. + Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate. + Deliver capabilities using agile practices while following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met. + Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and release delivery leaders to communicate delivery of work products from the teams and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness. + Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. + Interact with internal customers as part of your daily responsibilities. + Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. + Foster continuous learning and a culture of relentless improvement. Promote modern engineering practices, CICD enablement, and frequent release on-demand practices. + Ensure metrics are assessed, reviewed, and continuous improvement targets are defined regularly. + Coach and champion innovation, new ways of working, and experimentation through agile practices, processes, and behaviors. + Coordinate Tech Demand backlog intake, exception processes, and alignment to target due dates. + Ensure appropriate communication, priority, and timely remediation of dependencies and blockers. + Partner with Product Manager and Product Technology Leader to facilitate, influence, and negotiate quarterly transformation objectives and KPI targets. **Required Qualifications:** + Experience in Scrum, Agile, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. + Deep understanding of Agile principles and cadences. + Experience in using Jira and Confluence for managing Agile projects. + Experience in facilitating workshops and meetings. + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create a culture of inclusion. + Experience in conflict resolution and creative problem-solving. **Desired Qualifications:** + Scrum and Kanban training/certifications. + Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and innovation within Agile teams. + Ability to coach and mentor team members to higher levels of Agile maturity. + Strong understanding of business process mapping and software development lifecycle. + Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar methodologies. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. **Posting End Date:** 19 Jun 2025 **_*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants._** **We Value Equal Opportunity** Wells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
