**Responsibilities** Be a vital part of our nursing team as a **Charge Nurse on PACU** ! In this role, you'll oversee patient care and provide leadership to our nursing staff during your shift. You will play a key role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care. Responsibilities include: + Supervising and directing nursing staff on the shift. + Assigning patients to nurses based on patient acuity and staff skills. + Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. + Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them. + Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts. + Understanding of how to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations. + 'Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + Knowledge of healthcare policies for all clinical practices and applicable laws and regulations governing proper clinical practice; ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations. \#LI-DH \#RN@DH **Qualifications** + Associates Degree in Nursing (e.g. ADN) required and actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other-related field (e.g., BSN/BBA/BHA). + Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse. + Registered Nurse with current CA License + Basic Life Support (BLS) other credentials or credential modules may be required. + PALS certification required + LA City Fire Card required within 90 days of hire. **Overview** Founded in 1955 Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is a 394-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in Northridge California.
