You are a top-notch Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks and Azure, capable of solving complex technology issues and driving OnMed’s information management and systems/data integration capabilities. You thrive in environments where innovation and agility are key, and you’re passionate about using technology and data to expand access to quality healthcare.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Databricks and Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Data Factory and Azure API Management.
• Own the Databricks environment – across information management and integration capabilities.
• From an information management perspective, this includes Databricks environment optimization, governance, ongoing performance monitoring, and guidance to the business intelligence team.
• From an integration perspective, this role owns the integration architecture of the organization in tandem with the design, development, optimization, and ongoing performance monitoring of interfaces and integration touchpoints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient data integration solutions.
• Develop and optimize necessary SQL queries to support data integration and transformation processes.
• Implement and manage data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data integration workflows to ensure seamless operation.
• Document data integration processes and provide technical support to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data integration, Databricks, and Azure technologies.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven and deep experience in data and integration management, having played a role as a Data Engineer in the past.
• Ability to see the big picture and service as the integration architect in tandem with getting granular about design and development – macro- and micro-level execution.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing applications within a PaaS environment.
• Ability to analyze, optimize, and improve database performance.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and experience with complex query optimization.
• Proficiency in Python and C#.
• Strong expertise in Databricks and Azure API Management.
• Excellent understanding of Azure services and architecture.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
• Knowledge of AI/ML workflows is a nice-to-have.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Between 4 - 6 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer (does not include internships or academic project work).

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
