Job Title: Data Specialist
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of a degree, three (3) additional years of directly relevant work experience may be substituted.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in litigation support, electronic discovery, and/or IT support in legal settings. Prior work with government agencies, law firms, or leading eDiscovery vendors is acceptable.
- Proficiency in handling, analysing, and synthesizing ESI to meet project demands.
- Strong familiarity with various data types and digital file formats.
- Advanced knowledge of the electronic discovery and document review lifecycle.
- Experience serving as an Administrator or Case Manager in Relativity.
- Capability to support end-users and deliver training on litigation support applications.
- Proficiency with tools such as Relativity, Nuix, IPRO Eclipse, Cloud Nine Law, Beyond Compare, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform under high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favourably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on manipulation, loading, and conversion of electronic files.
- Coordinate and collaborate with client agencies to ensure the accurate collection, review, preservation, and delivery of electronically stored information (ESI) for investigative or discovery purposes.
- Organize and process documents to ensure efficient storage and retrieval by preparing, formatting, and uploading ESI into discovery databases using industry-standard eDiscovery tools and procedures.
- Review ESI obtained during discovery for completeness, data integrity, and corruption, and identify and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure that ESI is properly collected, reviewed, and prepared for production and disclosure to opposing counsel.
- Support the Litigation Technology Unit (LTU) in analyzing documents, managing data, and addressing litigation support requirements to recommend discovery strategies and solutions in alignment with case team needs.
- Create searchable PDF portfolios using Adobe software from large volumes of paper or native files received in discovery.
- Input and organize discovery files (paper or electronic) into litigation support platforms such as Relativity, Eclipse SE, and CaseMap.
- Import native email files, including associated metadata, into eDiscovery platforms; duplicate and extract relevant data from loaded databases.
- Migrate ESI between different eDiscovery platforms as needed.
- Assist case teams in developing hosted web platforms for eDiscovery review.
- Generate logs, reports, and summaries using tools like Relativity, Eclipse SE, CaseMap, and TimeMap to support document review and production.
- Support setup and training of software such as IPRO Trial Director for use in trials, hearings, mediations, and other formal proceedings.
- Conduct document searches using advanced artificial intelligence and legal research tools.
eDiscovery Tools & Platforms Utilized:
- eDiscovery and Legal Support Tools: Relativity, Nuix, IPRO eScanIt, IPRO Eclipse SE, Cloud Nine Law PreDiscovery, LexisNexis CaseMap & TimeMap, Concordance, Beyond Compare, Adobe Acrobat.
- Trial Presentation Software: IPRO Trial Director and similar platforms.
