Lead ITSM Engineer
Description:

About the Role:
This is a contract position for a Senior ServiceNow Engineer / ITSM Consultant / IT Operations Engineer / ServiceNow Architect (with a blend of ITOM & ITSM) / ITSM Platform Engineer. You will work onsite in Lisle, IL, responsible for overseeing ServiceNow solutions (especially ITSM & ITOM modules), integrating SolarWinds with ServiceNow, infrastructure-to-service mapping, and ensuring robust service visibility using advanced mapping and analysis strategies.
Duties include:
- Deeply involved in ServiceNow configuration and workflows
- Integrating multiple data sources with ServiceNow (including SolarWinds)
- Creating and maintaining service maps, dependency mapping, and impact analysis
- Leading or mentoring a team, offering consultative solutions, and interacting with stakeholders
- Advising on best practices for service visibility, workflow improvements, and process automation.

Requirements:

Required Experience:
- 7 to 10+ years in ITSM roles
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow (ITSM + ITOM)
- Strong SolarWinds experience and integration skills
- Hands-on with Web Services, LDAP, JavaScript (especially in SNOW workflows)
- Proven ability with infrastructure-to-service mapping
- Excellent consulting and leadership skills
- Stakeholder management and strong communications abilities
- US Citizens or Green Card holders preferred
Not a fit for:
- Pure ServiceNow admins with no SolarWinds exposure
- Candidates with only ITIL foundation but no real-world integration/mapping experience
- Junior/mid-level resources, those without leadership/consulting experience
- Offshore/remote-only candidates (onsite/hybrid expected in Chicago/Lisle, IL)
